“Colorado schools are at a “breaking point” and plead for help as stress of pandemic teaching piles up.” – Colorado Sun

“Colorado teachers are working twice – sometimes three times – as hard when their students learn both in person and online.” – Colorado Sun

Teachers and staff have demonstrated their devotion to educating our youth. So far this year, teachers worked more than their contracted hours each day to educate our children, and some staff have worked two to three times their job in a normal year, given the different modes of learning and needs of students. That’s after having worked much of the summer to re-design school this year.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the additional supplies and services cost upwards of $7,300/month. From January through May, that will total $36,500, in addition to the $29,200 the School District already spends as a baseline for cleaning.
